REPORT ON INTER-HOUSE CARD BOARD WALKING & REVERSE RUNNING COMPETITION

CBSE BOYS & GIRLS (CLASSES I–II) – 2026–27

INTRODUCTION

The Inter-House Card Board Walking and Reverse Running Competition for CBSE Boys & Girls (Classes I–II) was successfully organized by the Department of Physical Education on 25 July 2026 (Saturday) as part of the Inter-House Sports and Games Programme for the academic year 2026–27. The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from the four prestigious houses—Raman House, Gandhi House, Vinobha House, and Tagore House—with young students competing in a spirit of enthusiasm, confidence, discipline, and sportsmanship.

The competition aimed to promote physical fitness, agility, balance, speed, coordination, concentration, confidence, and teamwork among students through fun-filled yet challenging athletic events. Participants showcased remarkable determination while displaying excellent coordination, body control, and competitive spirit throughout the competitions.

The event provided an excellent platform for young learners to strengthen their physical abilities, develop self-confidence, and embrace the values of fair play, perseverance, unity, and healthy competition.

OBJECTIVES

The Inter-House Card Board Walking and Reverse Running Competition was organized to:

• Promote physical fitness and an active lifestyle among young learners.

• Improve speed, balance, coordination, and agility.

• Develop concentration, confidence, and decision-making abilities.

• Encourage discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

• Foster healthy inter-house competition and house spirit.

• Identify and encourage promising young athletes for future sporting events.

Students from Classes I & II actively participated in both Reverse Running and Card Board Walking competitions. Throughout the events, participants displayed impressive balance, agility, coordination, speed, and determination while competing with great enthusiasm and discipline.

The competitions were conducted under the supervision of the Department of Physical Education, ensuring safety, fairness, and adherence to the rules of each event.

Gandhi House emerged as the overall best-performing house, securing seven medals, including three gold medals, through exceptional consistency across both boys' and girls' events. Raman House excelled in the Boys Card Board Walking competition, while Vinobha House and Tagore House also delivered commendable performances and displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the championship.

The school extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and participants and expresses sincere gratitude to the Principal, Department of Physical Education, House Masters, teachers, officials, volunteers, and support staff for their invaluable support in organizing the event successfully.
