🎯 OBJECTIVES

The Inter-House Chess and Carrom competitions were organized to develop strategic and analytical thinking, concentration, observation and mental alertness among students. The competitions aimed to strengthen decision-making and problem-solving abilities while encouraging patience, discipline and self-control. They provided students with opportunities to participate in healthy and constructive competition, promote sportsmanship and respect for opponents, and actively represent their respective houses. The events also helped identify and nurture students with an aptitude for indoor games, develop confidence and the ability to perform under competitive pressure, and strengthen the spirit of teamwork and inter-house participation.

Raman House emerged as the Chess Champion, with Roshan Muttappa H. M. of Class 9 securing the first position.

Gandhi House secured the second position through Bhimu Anil Sante of Class 10, while Vinobha House secured the third position through Pratham B. B. of Class 9. Tagore House secured the fourth position through Akash G. of Class 10.

The results reflected the students’ strategic thinking, concentration, patience and ability to make effective decisions under competitive conditions.

📝 CONCLUSION

The Inter-House Chess and Carrom competitions for Classes IX and X were successfully conducted by the Department of Sports. The events effectively achieved their objectives of promoting concentration, strategic thinking, discipline, decision-making, patience, sportsmanship and healthy competition among students.

The achievements of the students reflected their preparation, commitment and competitive spirit. The participation of students representing all four houses further strengthened the school’s inter-house sports culture and encouraged students to explore their abilities beyond academics.

The school appreciates the sincere efforts of all participating students, house representatives, sports staff and officials who contributed to the smooth and successful conduct of the competitions.
