🎯 OBJECTIVES OF THE COMPETITION

The Inter-House Hockey Competition was organized to promote a strong hockey and sporting culture among students and provide them with opportunities to demonstrate their technical and tactical hockey skills. The competition aimed to encourage teamwork, coordination and cooperation while developing leadership qualities, responsibility, discipline and fair play. It also provided a platform to identify students with the potential to represent the school at higher levels of competition and encouraged students to maintain physical fitness, stamina, agility and speed. Furthermore, the event gave students valuable competitive experience, strengthened house spirit and healthy competition, and helped develop confidence and the ability to perform effectively under competitive pressure.

The Inter-House Hockey Competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Classes VI–VIII, with all four houses demonstrating commitment, teamwork and competitive spirit.

📝 OVERALL CONCLUSION

The CBSE Inter-House Hockey Competition for Boys of Classes VI–VIII, conducted on 22 August 2026, was a successful sporting activity that provided students with an excellent platform to demonstrate their hockey abilities, teamwork and competitive spirit.

Raman House emerged as the Champion, followed by Vinobha House in Second Position, Tagore House in Third Position and Gandhi House in Fourth Position. The competition successfully achieved its major objectives of promoting physical fitness, hockey skills, teamwork, discipline, leadership, sportsmanship and healthy competition among students.

The participation of students from Classes VI–VIII is particularly valuable as it provides younger players with meaningful competitive experience and helps establish a strong foundation for future school-level hockey teams. Such exposure enables students to understand the importance of practice, teamwork, discipline and perseverance.

Overall, the competition was not merely about determining the winning house; it was an opportunity to develop confident, disciplined, physically active and team-oriented students through sport.
