INTRODUCTION

The Inter-House Lagori and Ludo Competition for CBSE Boys and Girls (Classes III–V) was successfully organized by the Department of Physical Education on 18 July 2026 (Saturday) as part of the Inter-House Sports and Games Programme for the academic year 2026–27. The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from the four prestigious houses—Tagore House, Vinobha House, Gandhi House, and Raman House—with students competing in a spirit of enthusiasm, teamwork, discipline, strategic thinking, and sportsmanship.

The competition was designed to provide students with opportunities to demonstrate both their physical and intellectual abilities through the exciting games of Lagori and Ludo. While Lagori enhanced agility, coordination, teamwork, communication, and leadership, Ludo encouraged patience, concentration, logical thinking, and decision-making. Throughout the championship, participants displayed remarkable confidence, determination, and respect for their opponents.

The event served as an excellent platform to nurture sportsmanship, strengthen house spirit, and promote holistic development through healthy competition.


OBJECTIVES

The Inter-House Lagori & Ludo Competition was organized to:

  • Promote physical fitness, agility, and coordination.

  • Develop teamwork, communication, and leadership qualities.

  • Enhance concentration, patience, and logical thinking.

  • Encourage strategic planning and decision-making skills.

  • Foster discipline, confidence, and healthy competition.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony where the winners were honoured amidst loud applause and appreciation. The championship celebrated not only sporting excellence but also the enduring values of teamwork, leadership, discipline, perseverance, strategic thinking, unity, and mutual respect, making it a memorable and successful event in the Inter-House Sports Calendar 2026–27.
