REPORT ON INTER-HOUSE LONG JUMP & BALANCING MUG/BOOK RACE

INTRODUCTION

The Inter-House Long Jump and Balancing Mug/Book Race Competitions for CBSE Boys and Girls (Nursery, LKG & UKG) were successfully organized by the Department of Physical Education on 01 August 2026 (Saturday) as part of the Inter-House Sports and Games Programme for the academic year 2026–27. The competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation from the four prestigious houses—Raman House, Vinobha House, Gandhi House, and Tagore House—with the youngest learners participating with excitement, confidence, and determination.

The events were organized to encourage physical fitness, balance, coordination, agility, concentration, confidence, and sportsmanship among children at the foundational stage. Throughout the competitions, students demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm, discipline, and a willingness to challenge themselves while enjoying healthy inter-house competition.

The championship provided an excellent platform for children to develop their motor skills, improve self-confidence, strengthen house spirit, and experience the joy of sports in a fun and encouraging environment.

OBJECTIVES

The Inter-House Long Jump and Balancing Mug/Book Race Competitions were organized to:

• Promote physical fitness and active participation in sports.

• Develop balance, coordination, agility, and motor skills.

• Improve concentration, confidence, and body control.

• Encourage discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

• Foster healthy inter-house competition from the foundational years.

• Identify and nurture young sporting talent.

Students from Nursery, LKG, and UKG displayed excellent enthusiasm, determination, coordination, balance, and confidence throughout the competitions. Every event was conducted in a joyful and disciplined atmosphere, making the championship enjoyable and memorable for all participants.
