Objectives
The Inter-House Spell Bee Competition was conducted for students of Grades I and II (CBSE) on 26 September 2026. The competition aimed to enhance students’ spelling accuracy, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening skills, and confidence in using the English language. It provided a valuable opportunity for young learners to demonstrate their language proficiency in a competitive and encouraging environment.
The students participated enthusiastically and demonstrated their abilities in spelling words correctly and pronouncing them clearly. The competition encouraged students to improve their vocabulary, develop concentration, and build confidence while responding to the judge’s questions. It also promoted healthy competition and motivated students to strengthen their English language skills.
The participants were evaluated by the judge based on four criteria: spelling accuracy (4 marks), pronunciation (2 marks), confidence (3 marks), and time management (2 marks), making a maximum score of 11 marks according to the individual criterion allocations shown on the judgement sheet. The students were assessed on the basis of their performance in these areas.

The enthusiastic participation of the students made the event engaging and educational. The programme concluded on a positive note, motivating students to continue improving their language skills and participate actively in future inter-house competitions.
