Objectives

The Inter-House Wealth Out of Waste Competition was conducted for students of Grades III to V (CBSE) on 26 September 2026. The competition aimed to develop creativity, innovation, environmental awareness, and the habit of reusing waste materials among students. It provided a platform for young learners to transform discarded and reusable materials into useful and attractive creations, encouraging them to think creatively while contributing to environmental sustainability.

The participants enthusiastically showcased their creativity and teamwork by preparing innovative items using waste and reusable materials. The activity helped students understand the importance of reducing waste, reusing available resources, and adopting eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. It also encouraged problem-solving skills, imagination, cooperation, and responsible environmental behaviour.

The participating teams were evaluated by the judges based on four criteria: the first criterion carried 3 marks, the second carried 2 marks, the third carried 3 marks, and the fourth carried 2 marks, making a maximum score of 10 marks. The teams were assessed on the basis of their performance according to the prescribed judging criteria.

Conclusion

Raman House secured first place with 10/10, followed by Gandhi House in second place with 9/10, Vinobha House in third place with 7/10, and Tagore House in fourth place with 6/10.

The competition successfully encouraged students to recognise the value of discarded materials and explore practical ways to reuse resources creatively. It reinforced the importance of waste management, resource conservation, and sustainable living.
