INTRODUCTION

The Inter-House Zig Zag Race and Balloon Bursting Competition for CBSE Boys and Girls (Classes I–II) was successfully organized by the Department of Physical Education on 18 July 2026 (Saturday) as part of the Inter-House Sports and Games Programme for the academic year 2026–27. The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from the four prestigious houses—Raman House, Gandhi House, Vinobha House, and Tagore House—with young students competing in a spirit of enthusiasm, confidence, discipline, and sportsmanship.

The competition was organized to promote physical fitness, agility, balance, coordination, concentration, confidence, teamwork, and healthy competition among students. Through the exciting events of Zig Zag Race and Balloon Bursting, participants demonstrated remarkable speed, determination, quick reflexes, and competitive spirit while enjoying a safe and encouraging sporting environment.

The sports arena was filled with excitement as students, teachers, and house members enthusiastically cheered every participant. The competition provided an excellent opportunity for young learners to showcase their athletic abilities while learning the values of perseverance, discipline, and fair play.


OBJECTIVES

The competition aimed to:

  • Promote physical fitness and active participation in sports.

  • Develop agility, speed, coordination, and balance.

  • Improve concentration and quick decision-making.

  • Build self-confidence through healthy competition.

  • Encourage teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

  • Identify talented young athletes for future sporting events.

  • Balloon Bursting

ZIG ZAG RACE

The Zig Zag Race required participants to run swiftly while weaving through cones without touching them. The event tested agility, balance, speed, body coordination, concentration, and control.

Harshit delivered an exceptional performance, finishing only fractions of a second behind the winner.


🥉 Bronze Medal – Mourya K. A.
