Fee structure
Fees at PSSEMR are charged annually and cover tuition, mess and — for boarders — the hostel. A CBSE boarder in Classes VI to X pays ₹1,90,000 for the year. A CBSE day boarder pays ₹1,00,000. Kindergarten is ₹45,000.
Uniforms, books, kit and personal expenses are charged separately through a store account, itemised further down. Transport is charged by distance.
Which year these figures are
The tables below are transcribed from the school’s 2025-26 fee circular. The 2026-27 circular supersedes them when it is issued, and the figures for your child’s class should be confirmed in writing with the fee office before you pay.
The fee calculator on the admissions page draws on a different, later dataset and differs from these tables in several bands. Where the two disagree, the fee circular for your admission year is the one that governs.

Class X carries a ₹60,000 examination fee, payable to Cambridge International through the school.
Why boarders pay more tuition
Not for supervision — for teaching. Boarders have two hours of supervised prep every weekday evening, 6 to 8pm, and a further hour of remedial or homework support from 9 to 10pm. That is the difference in the tuition line.
Day scholars who want those evening study hours may pay the difference and attend, arranging their own transport home.
What the fee includes
- Tuition covers classroom teaching, and for boarders the evening prep hours.
- Mess covers all meals. For boarders that is five a day — breakfast, morning break, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. Day boarders may take meals for a monthly charge, and once taken it applies for the full academic year.
- Hostel covers accommodation, laundry collection and return, and the boarding house facilities.
- The application fee covers the application form, the prospectus and brochure, the ERP login, and the laundry, health, mess and identity cards.

Three things a family might expect to be billed for are listed at no charge in the school’s own schedule: the weekly phone call home, the weekend uniform and the eligibility fee.
Transport is not included in the fee and is charged by distance band.

Concessions apply to resident students only. Where a student qualifies for more than one, only one applies — whichever is greater.

How and when to pay
These are the terms that apply when a place is accepted. Please read them before you pay — particularly the last three.
- 70% of the annual fee is payable at admission, and the balance by 31 August. Late payment may attract a monthly penalty.
- A place in the next class is held only if 30% of the total fee is paid along with a continuation letter, before the end of the current academic year.
- A transfer certificate must be requested in writing before the end of the academic year. A later request is treated as a mid-year cancellation.
- Students joining Class X CBSE pay additional registration charges set by CBSE, directly to the CBSE Regional Office. Foreign nationals are responsible for their own travel documents, tickets and FRRO registration, and NRI students meet the cost of the eligibility certificate, equivalent marks card and related government charges.
- Paying by card carries an additional 2% charge, and payment by cash requires a copy of the PAN card.
- Always send the UTR reference after a bank transfer. Without it the school may not be able to issue a receipt.
- Fees once paid are not refundable.
- If you cancel before the school reopens, a cancellation charge applies. The amount is set out in the fee circular. Ask for it in writing before you accept a place.
- If you cancel after the school has reopened, the whole year’s fees are payable.
How to pay
Payment details are issued in the fee circular sent to admitted families. We do not publish bank account information on this website, so please do not act on payment instructions received from any other source. If you receive one, contact the school office before you pay anything.
Common questions
What does a year of boarding cost in total?
₹1,80,000 for CBSE Classes I–V and ₹1,90,000 for VI–X, covering tuition, mess and hostel, on the 2025-26 circular. Budget separately for the store account above.
Are fees payable in instalments?
70% at admission and the balance by 31 August.
Is transport included?
No. It is charged separately, by distance band, and is subject to route availability.
Do you offer scholarships?
Concessions exist for excellence in sport, for families with two or three children enrolled, for PU College entrants with high Class X marks, and for differently-abled students — for resident students only. Only one applies per student.
What happens if we withdraw mid-year?
The whole year’s fees are payable once school has reopened. Before reopening, a cancellation charge applies. Fees already paid are not refunded.
Is there a fee for the application?
Yes, and it covers the form, the prospectus and brochure, the ERP login and the student’s identity cards.
